About me

I'm an experienced Research leader and former startup executive. I partner with companies to found, build, or mature research practices, and to create insights-driven Product, Design, and Marketing strategies.

I've built and led research teams at Meta, Tripadvisor, and several startups. I've also held Product, Content, and Marketing leadership positions.

I was fortunate to discover the field of User Research in the course of my PhD work, through partnership with Facebook's data science team.

Services

I partner with companies to provide executive-level research advising and support.

My engagements are often bespoke, but there are 3 primary ways I partner with companies:

Advising

Equipping leaders and executives with research guidance via advisory sessions. Typically on a set cadence. Oriented towards:

  • Identifying research opportunities to drive business outcomes

  • Pulse checks to steer ongoing research activities

  • Coaching/up-skilling researchers and 'people doing research'

Instituting Research Practices

Establishing best practices and the operations needed to set teams up for successful research (with or without formal research hires).

  • Developing listening or rolling research programs

  • Building out a light tech stack for research

  • Training team members on key research methods

  • Supporting Researcher hiring

Conducting Research

Partnering with companies on must-do strategic research that internal teams don't have the time and/or expertise to carry out.

  • 1:1 Interviews

  • Surveys

  • UX Evaluations

  • Concept testing

  • ...and beyond
